Since the very beginning, Pyramide International has deliberately focussed on the “film d’auteur”, willing to promote abroad films by young directors like Sandrine Veysset, Catherine Corsini, Benoit Cohen, Wang Xiao-Shuai, Baltasar Kormakur, Naomi Kawase and more recently Eléonore Faucher (BRODEUSES), Ismaël Ferroukhi (LE GRAND VOYAGE) and to follow up with those directors and their producers who have trusted the company. Confirmed talents rapidly joined Pyramide International such as Benoit Jacquot, Youssef Chahine, Olivier Assayas, Anne Fontaine, Claude Miller, Claire Denis, Catherine Breillat, Tony Gatlif, Patrice Leconte, Patrice Chéreau or Denys Arcand. New films for 2005 include among others THE EX-LOVE OF MY LIFE by Josiane Balasko, LA PETITE CHARTREUSE by Jean-Pierre Denis, PEINDRE OU FAIRE L'AMOUR by Arnaud & Jean-Marie Larrieu, LA VIE EST A NOUS by Gérard Krawczyk, HABANA BLUES by Benito Zambrano... Miscellanous genres, directors and producers remain the main asset of the company, allowing Pyramide International to grant buyers with a wide selection of high quality French and foreign art-house films. Pyramide International now runs a library of nearly 200 titles.
