Unifrance is an association under the law of 1901 whose members are professionals from the sector.
The members, grouped by profession into Colleges, are represented by elected Commissions. The association is governed by a 59-member Management Committee and a 20-member Executive Committee comprising two Boards (cinema/audiovisual).

Since June 23, 2021, Unifrance's missions have consisted of providing support to the international export and promotion of both French films and television programs.
The President of Unifrance is elected by the Executive Committee for a 3-year term. He is supported in the governance of the association by the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, as well as the two Film and Audiovisual Boards.
Gilles Pélisson was elected President in June 2023.
The association is governed by a Board of Directors composed of 59 members.

Within the association, subscribing members, statutary members, and honorary members are divided into six Colleges according to their sector of activity:
Each of these 6 Colleges elects representatives, who take part in the Commissions representing each College:
These Commissions are re-elected every three years at meetings held by the Colleges following the General Assembly of the year concerned.
The committees are renewed every three years by the colleges meeting at the end of the Ordinary General Meeting of the year in question.
