Hong Kong hosts the 6th Filmart
The 2010 Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART) will offer sales agents the chance to evaluate signs of a revival in film sales in Asia at this time.
For the 6th consecutive year, Unifrance will host a 220 m² booth at Hong Kong's Filmart, to be held March 22 through 25. This year, our booth will represent a record 21 film export companies: Bac Films Distribution, Celluloid Dreams, Coach 14, Coproduction Office (Ex Société Parisienne de Production), Elle Driver, EuropaCorp, Playtime (ex Films Distribution), Funny Balloons, Gaumont, IDPL Productions, Kinology, Le Pacte, Memento Films International , MK2 Films (ex MK2), Pathé Films (ex Pathé Distribution), Pyramide International, Rezo World Sales, Roissy Films, STUDIOCANAL, TF1 Studio (ex-TF1 International), Wide, and Wild Bunch.
Coinciding with the event, the Hong Kong International Film Festival (held March 21 through April 6) will showcase around 23 French productions. Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Gaspar Noé, Louis-Ronan Choisy, and Emmanuel Laurent will travel to Hong Kong to take part in the event.
A "French Evening" will take place March 23, featuring the films Micmacs and Enter the Void. This event is organized in association with the Commission du film d'Île-de-France, the Alliance Française de Hong Kong, TV5 Monde Asia, and the directors of Filmart and the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
