For several years now, Unifrance has been a partner of the Prix Palatine, the first and only binational film award presented by high school students in Italy and France.
The selection offers French and Italian high school students three films from the other country, which they will be able to discover over the next six months through a dual series of traveling screenings. A jury of high school students will select their favorite Italian or French film next May.
As with the 2026 edition, the expected audience is projected to reach nearly 3,000 high school students across 100 screenings of the six selected films, in 30 cities across France and Italy (compared to 20 in 2026).
In France, the launch will take place on November 4 at the Max Linder cinema in Paris, with Tommaso Usberti in attendance, followed by an event at the Institut Français in Naples on November, with Pierre Salvadori.
Each film is accompanied by educational resources, encounters, and discussion sessions with the filmmakers.
New this year: jury members will award a prize for Best Film Score as part of the Musica Maestrə program.
In previous editions, high school students have met, for example, Michel Gondry, Nicolas Philibert, Delphine and Muriel Coulin, Paolo Sorrentino, Matteo Garrone, and others.
