The 39th IDFA, one of the most prestigious international documentary film festivals, as well as a leading co-production market, will take place this year from November 12 to 22 in Amsterdam.
For this year’s edition, France is once again well-represented with 36 productions and co-productions, including short films, feature films, and immersive works, out of a total of nearly 250 films being screened. The festival also features new media projects and an extensive industry program comprising conferences, pitch sessions, consultations, a market, and a talent development program.
As it does every year, Unifrance will accompany French films and professionals throughout the festival by offering specific assistance programs designed to support the participation of French producers and directors, including the AIP (Aide Individuelle à la Promotion) and travel grants in partnership with La Scam (reserved for writers).
Unifrance will also host a special networking event—a cocktail reception in partnership with La Scam—to be held on Sunday, November 15, bringing together French film crews as well as French and international industry professionals.
