Synopsis
Filmed in Japan over 10 years, this adaptation of writer Yoko Hayasuke's journal is set in the wake of the tsunami and nuclear disaster after the Tōhoku earthquake. Something happened yet life goes on: Tokyo continues to expand; new soil replaces irradiated land; islands emerge from the ocean. Citizens, farmers, monks, each in their own way, strive to heal the traumas of their communities.
