Synopsis
Look closely at the mountains!: this order comes from the artist Manfredo de Souzanetto, during the years of the Brazilian dictatorship. Mining was destroying the environment in the state of Minas Gerais, in the southeastern part of the country. Through the use of editing, Ana Vaz places this region alongside the geographically distant one of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, also marked by three centuries of mining.
