Synopsis
Combining techniques pioneered by Méliès and new technologies, this film is inspired by the work of Auguste Rodin and his artistic influences. A story within a story told through Camille Claudel and her original letters, it brings to light the misery of her life at the lunatic asylum where she spent her last thirty years. In 1901, Rodin was invited to present his work The Gates of Hell at the Exposition Universelle in Paris.
