    Synopsis

Fat ten years old, Violette is intelligent and brimming with energy. With a scientist for father and an actress for mother, although both are now happily divorced, Violette seems to have been born with a silver spoon. Then one day, something happens to Violette that doesn't happen to many people, something unfair and irreparable, ,something fatal. Her father kidnaps her, and together they strike out, just the two of them. Their trajectory, a voyage of discovery, affords them a new understanding of life. They folIow an itinerary from Lausanne to Milan, from Milan to Cenoa and from Genoa to Provence. Her father thinks that he can prevent Violette from killing herself and that she can teach him how to live. And then, along the lines of true drama, the mother's reappearence draws the family back together-and the father-daughter team goes back to being a threesome...
