As is the case every year, Unifrance will pursue the promotion of French cinema at the 59th Berlin International Film Festival, to be held from February 5 through 15, 2009.
The festival’s Official Competition features a French film ( Ricky ) and three co-productions: Cheri, In the Electric Mist (In the Electric Mist), and London River . Three other French productions will be presented out of competition: Inspector Bellamy , Eden is West (Eden is West), and Eccentricities of a Blonde-haired Girl (Eccentricities of a Blonde-haired Girl).
29 feature films and 2 short films will represent France in the various festival sections (including the Competition, Panorama, Forum, Berlinale Special, and Generation sections).
The Unifrance stand at the European Film Market will host 14 sales companies this year: Alfama Films Production , BAC Films , Coach 14 , Doc & Film International , Funny Balloons , Futurikon , Le Pacte , Les Films du Losange , Other Angle Pictures , Pyramide International , Roissy Films , SND , Urban Sales , and Wide .
We will also continue to provide a suite at the Marriott Hotel in which to receive French artists for their interviews.
Media Office will be responsible for relations with German and international media for the following films:
