A Moment of Happiness
Synopsis
Philippe, 25, turns up one morning at his sister’s place in Arcachon. A young, unattached man, he’s easy to confide in. He’s a seasonal worker in the restaurant business. Betty, 21, is a lively young mother overflowing with tenderness for her 5-year-old son, Damien. They still live at home with her parents, although Betty’s relationship with her father is strained. The tense atmosphere this creates upsets Damien. Betty finds work, leaves home and claims her independence. A vibrant woman, she can at last envisage a different life. One morning, Damien is knocked down by a hit-and-run driver in front of the school gates. This same morning, Betty enters Philippe’s life and it’s love at first sight… Betty loves Philippe and Philippe loves Betty. Nothing could be more sure than this, nothing. But Philippe is the hit-and-run driver…
