Synopsis
In 1877, Angèle-Marie, a young peasant, is employed as a live-in wetnurse by a wealthy family. An affectionate relationship soon develops between Angèle-Marie and the young mistress of the house, Charlotte Orcus. But Julien, Charlotte’s husband, takes a dim view of proceedings.
It won’t be long before he asserts his authority over the two women.
