The Locarno Film Festival wrapped on August 17, crowning Lithuanian film Toxic, selected in Official Competition, with its top prize. The French film industry distinguished itself with numerous awards, notably for the second part of documentary filmmaker Wang Bing's trllogy, Youth (Hard Times) (photo), produced, like the two earlier segments, by House on Fire and Gladys Glover, and sold internationally by Pyramide International.
