With the latest film by François Ozon in the Official Competition, films by Agnès Varda and André Téchiné presented out-of-competition, and Juliette Binoche president of the jury (and also starring in a film programmed for a special screening), French cinema will have a strong presence at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival, to take place from February 7 through 17. UniFrance will be present to take part in the Film Market.

This year, UniFrance will provide services at our market stand for the following 15 sales companies who are presenting French films at the European Film Market (EFM), one of Europe's biggest and most important film markets, organized in parallel to the Berlin International Film Festival:

Short Films
French VR Screening
On February 10 at 2 p.m. at the Berlin Marriott Hotel, UniFrance will hold a screening of VR films presented at the EFM as part of the program of the "VR Now Summit."
This year's productions are represented by Diversion cinema and Wide:

- The Real Thing (selected at Melbourne, Busan, and Montreal)
- Wild Immersion: Africa (presented at Cannes)
Frühstück Chic
In association with Film France, the Institut Français, and the Franco-German Film Academy, UniFrance will host a "Frühstück Chic" event on Monday, February 11, at 9:30 a.m., at the French Embassy in Berlin. This meeting will shine a spotlight on French productions presented at the Berlin Film Festival and, for the first time, will include a presentation of French immersive works. For this presentation, the production company La Vingt-Cinquième Heure will introduce the 360° documentary Being an Astronaut, which was first revealed to audiences at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

To support the French films screened in the many festival sections, this year's artistic delegation will include the following actors and directors: François Ozon, Melvil Poupaud, Denis Ménochet, Swann Arlaud, Agnès Varda, André Téchiné, Catherine Deneuve, Kacey Mottet Klein, Oulaya Amamra, Safy Nebbou, Juliette Binoche, and Nicole Garcia, as well as Guillaume Nicloux, who will present his TV series Il était une seconde fois, accompanied by Gaspard Ulliel.
