The third Mercado del Cine Francés, an event initiated by UniFrance, will take place in Miami from March 11 to 13, opening with a cocktail reception held on March 10. The film market will be attended by 19 sales companies representing French films and over 30 distributors from Latin America.
After an initial two years in which this French film market more than lived up to expectations, the Mercado del Cine Francés is currently gearing up for its third edition. A market created specifically for French sales companies and distributors from across Latin America, this event is held in conjunction with the Miami International Film Festival.
As Latin America remains one of the leading export zones for French theatrical releases, this event continues its aim to strengthen ties between international sales companies and local distributors with a commitment to releasing French films.
Last year, around forty professionals took part in the event. They will be back this year, attesting to the fact that interest in distributing French films in Latin America is by no means waning.
