Event presentation
MyFrenchFilmFestival.com is an innovative concept that aims to throw the spotlight on new generation filmmakers working in the French language, and gives internet users around the world the chance to share their love of French cinema.
The principle
Ten French feature films and ten French short films are presented in the competition section. Viewers are invited to rate the films and to post their comments on our website. The competition also includes two Belgian films. A French cinema classic as well as two French-Canadian films and one French-language Swiss film are presented out of competition.
Award winners
Three awards are presented at the closing of the festival:
- The Filmmakers’ Prize (with a jury composed of international film directors)
- The Audience Prize (decided by viewers around the world who vote for their favorite films online via our festival platform)
- The International Press Prize (with a jury composed of foreign journalists)
The juries for the Filmmakers’ Prize and the International Press Prize meet in Paris during the festival to elect the winning films. Award-winning films are screened on Air France flights for a period of six months.
