Now in its fourth year, the Young French Cinema program, which is organized by UniFrance and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States in order to facilitate screenings of undistributed French films in North America, has just completed a mini-tour of the USA of Paris Prestige, with the participation of its directors Hamé and Ékoué.
After winning the prestigious Directors' Jury Award at the 2018 MyFrenchFilmFestival in February, Hamé and Ékoué flew to the United States to present their debut feature film to young American audiences. They introduced Paris Prestige at a screening held at the Alliance Française in New York (FIAF), attended by over 200 people, as well as at a bar in Harlem. They then head headed to Ohio, where they showed the film at the Gateway Film Center in Columbus.
Hamé and Ekoué are currently busy writing the screenplay for their second feature. This film, which will also be shot in Paris' Pigalle district, will focus on the experiences of women.
