The French director will head the jury of the upcoming edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival, the world's first Online French Film Festival organized by UniFrance Films, which will take place from January 16 through February 16, 2015.
Ten French feature films and ten French shorts will be presented in competition during the 5th MyFrenchFilmFestival. Web users around the world will be invited to view these films and to publish their comments on the website myfrenchfilmfestival.com. The website and the films showcased during the festival will be accessible in 13 languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.
Following in the footsteps of Michel Hazanavicius and Jean-Pierre Jeunet, it's now Michel Gondry's turn to take the role of president of the festival's filmmakers' jury. For this occasion, the director has also produced the trailer for the festival and this year's poster.
The complete selection of films (features and shorts), along with the members of the filmmakers' jury and the foreign media involved in this year's event, will be announced December 2 at the festival's press conference, which is sponsored by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication and will be held in the presence of Culture Minister Fleur Pellerin, CNC president Frédérique Bredin, UniFrance Films president Jean-Paul Salomé, UniFrance Films executive director Isabelle Giordano, and Michel Gondry, jury president of the 5th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival.
It is worth noting that the 4th edition of the festival achieved unprecedented success in 2014, with website visitors from 205 countries registered and a total of 4 million viewings of French films (features and shorts) over a period of one month on the website myfrenchfilmfestival.com and the event's partner platforms.
