In only 15 days, the sixth edition of the online French film festival launched on January 18, 2016 by UniFrance has already clocked up 2,500,000 viewings throughout the world.
Launched in Paris on January 18, 2016 live from the Eiffel Tower and in the presence of a jury of filmmakers, presided over by Nicolas Winding Refn, MyFrenchFilmFestival received the best start yet recorded for this online cinema event since its creation.
In 15 days, the tally of film viewings on MyFrenchFilmFestival and its partner platforms has reached 2,500,000.
It should be noted that the MyFrenchFilmFestival trailer has also achieved a very fine score with 1,100,000 viewings.
The full program (10 features, 10 short films, one French classic and out-of-competition Belgian and Canadian films, in partnership with Wallonie-Bruxelles Images and Telefilm Canada) is available until February 18.
At the end of the festival, the Chopard Directors Award will be announced by a jury composed of Felix Van Groeningen, Belgian Flemish director of The Misfortunates and The Broken Circle Breakdown, Marjane Satrapi, Franco-Iranian director of Persépolis, Chicken With Plums, and The Voices; Valérie Donzelli, director of Declaration of War and Marguerite et Julien; and last but not least, David Robert Mitchell, American director of the horror film phenomenon It Follows.
The awards also include the International Press Prize and the Audience Award, in partnership with Lacoste.
