For the 30th MyFrenchShorts, and as part of LGBTQ Pride month, discover the short film Olla, by Ariane Labed, free to view worldwide on YouTube until January 2, 2026.
Olla, originally from Eastern Europe, answers an ad on a dating site and moves in with Pierre and his elderly mother, who live in the French provinces. But domestic life takes an unexpected... and explosive turn.
In Olla, actress Ariane Labed paints a vitriolic portrait of the domestic sphere in her acidic, subversive first short film, shot in Nevers. The film won three awards at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and has been shown worldwide, including at the Sundance Film Festival.
