MyFrenchFilmFestival.com is a new concept aimed at introducing Web users around the world to the latest offerings from new generation French filmmakers.
The underlying principle
The festival (films + website) is accessible in around fifteen languages for a period of one month in January.Ten French feature films and ten short films compete in the festival competition for three awards: the Audience Prize, the International Press Award (selected by 10 foreign journalists) and the Social Networks Prize (selected by 100 influential Facebook/Twitter users). Web users view films online and are invited to rate them and leave comments on the website. Films with the highest score win the Audience Prize. All award-winning films are screened on all Air France flights for a minimum period of 6 months.
The festival selection also includes a French heritage film and two French-language Canadian films, a short film and a feature, presented out of competition.
