Biography

Arnaud Desplechin graduated from the IDHEC film school in 1984, and began work as a DOP. He then made a medium-length feature, "La Vie des morts," which attracted attention at the Cannes International Film Festival, and went on to win the 1991 Jean Vigo Prize. In 1992, he directed "The Sentinel," honored at numerous festivals, and followed up with "My Sex Life… or How I Got Into an Argument" (1996). His latest film, "Esther Kahn," shot in London and in English, was selected for official competition at this year's Cannes International Film Festival.
