The 17th edition of the French Film Festival in the Czech Republic, a highly anticipated event on Prague inhabitants' cultural calendars, will throw the spotlight on Juliette Binoche and Benoit Jacquot.
The French Embassy in the Czech Republic, Institut Français in Prague and UniFrance films are once again organizing the traditional French Film Festival, which will take place in the fall in Prague and other regions in the Czech Republic.
The 17th edition (which will take place November 19-26, 2014, in Prague, in collaboration with Czech distributors) will present eight recent French films at premiere screenings, along with a selection chosen by Czech critics, a Benoit Jacquot retrospective, and a homage to Juliette Binoche.

In collaboration with the Institut Français in Paris, and upon the occasion of the national release of 3 Hearts, the Benoît Jacquot Cycle comprises the following films: A Single Girl, Seventh Heaven, Adolphe, Right Now, Deep in the Woods, Villa Amalia, Farewell My Queen.
In conjunction with the recent release of Clouds of Sils Maria, the new film by Olivier Assayas, a Juliette Binoche Focus will pay homage to this actress, with the films The Horseman on the Roof, Certified Copy, Camille Claudel 1915, Elles, along with the documentary by Marion Stalens Juliette Binoche dans les yeux.
The Short Film Evening, (The Passenger; Beast; The Gray Chicken Exodus; Le Bout du film;Next To Last (Autumn 63); La Femme de Rio; My Sense of Modesty; Storm Hits Jacket; Baby Phone) prepared in collaboration with Christine Gendre of Unifrance, will take place in Prague in other regions (Brno, Ceske Budejovice, and new additions to this year's event, Hradec Kralove and Ostrava).
