5 preview screenings and 11 titles yet to be released in Germany will be presented in East and West Berlin from July 1st through July 6th this year.
Organized by the French Embassy in Berlin and the German Film Office, the French Film Week will be screening each film twice: at the Paris Cinema in the West and at the Filmtheater am Friedrichshain in the East. Eight French artists will be in attendance to present their films to the local media.
The French Film Week's selection will spotlight the films of Arnaud Desplechin:
"Kings and Queen" will be presented as festival opener, in the presence of actress Magali Woch
"Playing 'In the Company of Men'"
"Esther Kahn"
"Comment je me suis disputé…" ("My Sex Life... or How I Got Into an Argument")
