The Rotterdam International Film Festival will take place from January 26 through February 6, 2005.
One of the highlights of the event will be a retrospective of films by Benoît Jacquot, with the director in attendance.
In keeping with its reputation, the festival will present films by established directors as well as new generation French filmmakers. This year's event will showcase "Cinévardaphoto" by Agnès Varda, "Clean" by Olivier Assayas, "The Intruder" by Claire Denis, "Tomorrow We Move" by Chantal Akerman, "Rois et Reine" by Arnaud Desplechin, as well as "Le Dernier Jour" by Rodolphe Marconi, "Le Grand Voyage" by Ismaël Ferroukhi, "Illuminations" by Pascale Breton, "Innocence" by Lucile Hadzihalilovic, "Les Revenants" by Robin Campillo, "Viva Algeria" by Nadir Moknèche, "Wild Side" by Sébastien Lifshitz, "Demi-tarif" by Isild Le Besco, "Le Pont des Arts" by Eugène Green, "L'Oeil de l'autre" by John Lvoff and "Basse Normandie" by Patricia Mazuy and Simon Reggiani.
