The Unifrance Rendez-Vous – Rio, organized in conjunction with the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival and the enhanced France-Brazil Year program, will take place from October 2 to 6.
These meetings will enable 17 French sales companies to exchange ideas with 15 Brazilian distributors and 3 Latin American distributors and to deepen their knowledge of the local market, thereby strengthening Franco-Brazilian relations in the audiovisual sector.
As part of these meetings organized by Unifrance (following an initial edition of professional meetings in Latin America last year in Mexico), participants will attend the festival's opening night on October 2. A tour of the city's movie theaters will be offered on Friday, October 3, followed by roundtable discussions with Brazilian distributors, exhibitors, and institutional representatives at the Rio Market.
Saturday, October 4, will be devoted to individual meetings between French sellers and Brazilian and Latin American distributors, which will take place at Casa Firjan, punctuated by a lunch hosted by Paris Filmes, a major independent distributor operating in Brazil and Latin America. The day will end with the French Night organized by the festival.
Finally, on Sunday, October 5, there will be a tour of the city of Niterói and a visit to the independent cinema Reserva Cultural, followed by a lunch hosted by the Brazilian distribution company Imovision.
