🎬✨ Join us for an exclusive masterclass with the visionary director Dominik Moll, hosted by Richard Peña! 🌟
In this insightful session, Dominik Moll takes us to his filmmaking debut journey, sharing his inspirations and the pivotal moments that shaped his career. From his acclaimed films like "Harry, He is Here to Help" (2000) and "Lemming" (2005), starring the incredible Charlotte Gainsbourg and Charlotte Rampling, to his challenges in directing the period piece "The Monk" with Vincent Cassel, this masterclass explores the different facets of Dominik Moll’s filmography.
Dominik discusses the intricacies of adapting novels into films, his ventures into television with series like "The Tunnel" and "Eden," and his unique experience filming "Only the Animals" in Abidjan, highlighting a narrative of reverse colonialism. He also brings humor to the session, mentioning his comedy "News from Planet Mars" as "the only film he directed where nobody dies."
We also explore his latest triumph, "The Night of the 12th," a mystery thriller that swept the 48th César Awards with 10 nominations and 6 wins, including Best Film and Best Director. With stellar performances by Bastien Bouillon and Bouli Lanners, this film solidifies Moll's place in French contemporary cinema.
