After opening its doors on November 16, the Dublin French Film Festival, organized by the Irish Film Institute, will be held until Thursday, November 27. An impressive selection of 25 French films will be showcased at the event, with ten actors and directors present to introduce their films and meet with Irish audiences.
This event is the largest celebration of French cinema held in Ireland and offers twelve days of screenings at the Irish Film Institute located in the heart of Dublin. Twenty-three films will be screened for the first time in Ireland, including In Bed with Victoria by Justine Triet, which will open the event on November 16. The festival will close on November 27 with a screening of 21 Nights with Pattie by the Larrieu brothers.
A large number of meetings will be organized with French artists, with Q&A sessions held following the film screenings. The screening of A Man and a Woman will be presented by Douglas Smith, senior lecturer at the UCD School of Languages and Literature.
