New for the 25th edition of the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris, Unifrance is launching the French TV Screenings. These exclusive and event-based presentations will allow audiovisual buyers to discover the latest releases from nine distribution companies.
The French TV Screenings will take place on January 10 and 11, 2023 at the Club de l'Étoile and will be open to international television buyers, the press, Unifrance guests, along with those of the companies presenting their programs.

ARTE France Developpement (Arte Distribution)
Each year, ARTE Distribution selects the best documentaries and makes them travel all around the world on platforms and channels.
For its French TV Screening, ARTE Distribution presents its new documentaries highlights, in the presence of the talents. Within its Cinema Icons collection, discover Ken Loach, the Art of Activism, presented by Ken Loach himself. Also discover a documentary on the legendary actress: Nicole Kidman, Eyes Wide Open. Thatcher's not Dead will represent the history category, with an exclusive excerpt introduced by Hauteville Productions. As a bonus, Program 33 will feature never-before-seen animated footage from The Joan of Arc Case. For the discovery films, The Mystery of the Med Rings will be presented by Laurent Ballesta, the world-renowned underwater photographer nominated for an International Emmy® Award. For investigation films, the great reporter Paul Moreira will present In the Name of Law & Order, a fascinating documentary series in two episodes on the war of images that polarizes police and demonstrators. In the science category, discover an incredible scientific epic with The Messenger RNA Revolutions. And last but not least, Les Bons Clients will feature Dopamine - Brain Hacking Explained by Science, unveiling new revelations about brain addiction to apps.
CLPB Rights
CLPB Rights’ French TV Screening will kick-off the 2023 season with its brand-new drama and documentaries, starting with an introduction of the CLPB Media group. This introduction will emphasize the uniqueness of the group's 4 brands: 2 production labels (CPB Films & Camera Lucida Productions) with distribution arm (CLPB Rights) and a studio of immersive and interactive contents (Lucid Realities). It will be followed by the group's demo-reel.
Then, CLPB Rights will present its fiction news starting with The Devil's Leap collection, announcing the third part, continuing with the series Everybody Lies while announcing the second part, and finally showing the exclusive images of its brand-new film The Horla.
As for documentaries, the viewers will be taken on a journey with the series Magellan's Extraordinary Odyssey, an audience success on ARTE. An exclusive first excerpt from Beyond the Far Side will follow, before coming to a close on CLPB's collaboration with external producers by highlighting new non-fiction storytelling with Utopias?, a France tv slash series.
Federation Studios
This French TV Screening will be the opportunity for buyers to get an exclusive first look at Federation Studios’ event titles for 2023, both drama and documentary.
The spotlight will be especially put on: Rematch, an international production and a psychological thriller that goes back to 1997 to tell the story of the confrontation between chess champion Garry Kasparov against computer Deep Blue, presented by its producer, Bruno Nahon (Unité, Federation, ARTE) ; Samber, the event series by Jean-Xavier De Lestrade, will be pitched by producer Matthieu Belghiti (What's Up Films, Federation, France 2). On the documentary side, Peter Doherty: Stranger in My Own Skin will be presented by Peter Doherty himself and Katia De Vidas, director and co-producer of the movie (Wendy Productions, Federation); and last but not least, MH370, a docu-series on the tragedy surrounding the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines' Boeing (Federation, So Press, France Télévisions) will be introduced to buyers by producer Myriam Weil.
France tv distribution
For its French TV Screening, France tv distribution is thrilled to present for the first time and exclusively the first episode of its new scripted series Aspergirl (10x26') produced by PATAFILM for OCS.
The series Aspergirl, starring columnist and comedian Nicole Ferroni, is a sensitive comedy that questions the notion of normality. Through Louison and Guilhem’s journey, the series asks a universal question: how to accept one's own difference?
The screening will be preceded by a presentation of France tv distribution’s new lineup.
Institut National de l'Audiovisuel (INA)
Ancient civilizations are in the spotlight for 2023 with seven new INA original productions, produced by Enora Contant.
First, director Nicolas Brénéol will lead you on the tracks of Nefertiti. The documentary Nefertiti, Raiders of the Lost Tomb will take you on a new investigation, in which science and technology combine to help solve the enigma that animates and divides Egyptologists around the world: does Tutankhamen's tomb conceal another secret and untouched burial chamber belonging to Nefertiti?
To illustrate INA’s “megastructure” theme, director of Philae, the Last Temples of Ancient Egypt, Benoît Poisson, will explain how he explores the history of the monuments and the evolution of the techniques of their builders, thanks to immersive 3D and the testimonies of experts.
Mediawan Rights
Mediawan Rights, an international player in distribution, presents the latest Mediawan Group projects for its French TV Screening 2023: Haven of Grace (6x52'), a series produced by Ego Productions; Start Over (4x52’), a series produced by Merlin Production; and finally Drone Games (1x90'), a film produced by White Lion Films

During its French TV Screening, Newen Connect, one of the European leaders in international distribution, will present a selection of its most emblematic French productions, including event series P@st Forward, Polar Park or Syndrome E, TV movies (S)he — nominated at the 2022 International Emmy® Awards — and The Fragile Colossus, as well as its documentaries Paris: The Mystery of the Lost Palace or Russia, Indoctrination of a Nation directed by Alexandra Jousset and Ksenia Bolchakova, winners of the Albert Londres Prize 2022.

The film traces the journey of men and women persecuted by the Third Reich because of their sexual orientation and the horror of the concentration camps as told by those who experienced it first-hand. Lara Orsoni, the producer, will tell you how these unpublished archives of victims were unearthed.
Finally, Terranoa will broadcast, as a world premiere, the first episode in English of the ambitious series Top of the Rocks for ARTE. A series co-produced with Servus and already sold in more than 5 countries.
