Synopsis
(S)HE is a topical, moving, and heartfelt drama that sensitively explores the very current and complex issues around transgender children. Juju is a transgender teenager, a girl born into a boy’s body. The film follows her struggle to get her parents and friends to accept her true gender and support her transition from boy to girl. Highlighting the social consequences of a transgender coming-out and the resulting obstacles that can occur, the film gently and accurately addresses trans identity among minors.
