The 38th IDFA, one of the most prestigious international festivals dedicated to documentaries, as well as a leading co-production market, will be held this year from November 13 to 23 in Amsterdam.
At this year's edition, France confirms its presence with 63 productions and co-productions, including short and feature films, and immersive works, out of a total of nearly 250 titles presented from 76 countries. Thirteen previously unreleased French documentaries will be presented this year in world premieres, including four in International Competition. This success once again demonstrates the vitality, commitment, and great diversity of French documentary filmmaking on the international stage.
The festival's professional section, which includes a co-production market, networking sessions, and presentations of projects in development, will offer industry professionals the opportunity to explore new market trends.
As it does every year, Unifrance will support French films and professionals throughout the festival by offering specific assistance programs designed to support the presence of French producers and directors, including IPA (Individual Promotion Assistance), travel grants in partnership with La Scam (reserved for directors), and the distribution of a communication kit presenting the entire French selection at IDFA, available on the Unifrance website.
Unifrance will also organize a special networking event, with a cocktail reception in partnership with La Scam, to be held on Sunday, November 16, bringing together French teams and French and foreign professionals.
A Unifrance delegation will also be present in Amsterdam from November 16 to 17, 2025.
