Biography
With a degree in modern literature, Rebecca Zlotowski enters FEMIS in 2003 in the filmscript department. She makes there a series of determining encounters, including that of Cyprien Vial, with whom she codirects the short Dans le rang, winner of the SACD prize (Society of Authors and Dramatic Composers) at the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes in 2006. For her end-of-studies project at FEMIS, she writes the script for Dear Prudence. She directs the film in 2010 and wins the Louis Delluc Prize for Best First Film. Professor in the department of cinema at the University of Lyon 2, she is equally the screenwriter of the film Jimmy Rivière which wins several distinctions at festivals.
