François Ozon, Wim Wenders, and Stéphane Brizé will be flying the flag for France at the upcoming Venice Film Festival, which opens its doors on August 31. A total of 12 French feature films (excluding French cinema classics and minority-French productions) and 3 French shorts will be screened during the world's longest-standing film festival until September 10.
Three French films (including majority-French productions) will follow in the footsteps of Courted, which featured in the Official Competition at Venice at the 2015 Venice Film Festival and picked up the Golden Lion Award.
A large delegation of French artists will travel to the Italian city to present their films:
