Commercial Releases (July 2017)
- Rebecca Zlotowski and Natalie Portman were in Japan for Planetarium, released by Phantom Film (photo).
- Radu Mihaileanu and Derek Jacobi were in Germany for The History of Love, released by Prokino Filmverleih.
- Lambert Wilson was in the United Kingdom for The Odyssey, released by Altitude Film Entertainment.
- Arthur Harari was in Japan for Dark Diamond, released by Etantje.
- Amanda Sthers were in Australia for Madame, released by StudioCanal Australia.
- JR was in French-speaking Switzerland for Faces, Places, released by Agora Films.
- Blandine Lenoir and Agnès Jaoui were in Spain for Fifty Springtimes, released by Surtsey Films.
- Léa Mysius was in French-speaking Switzerland for Ava, released by Praesens Film, which was also presented at the Festival international du film fantastique de Neuchâtel.
- Agnès Varda was in Belgium for Faces, Places, released by Cinéart .
- Patrick Godeau was in French-speaking Switzerland for Chouquette, released by JMH Distributions
- Robin Campillo and Antoine Reinartz were in French-speaking Switzerland for BPM (Beats Per Minute), released by Agora Films.
Festivals (July 2017)
- Léa Mysius, Mathieu Turi, and Éric Valette were in attendance at the Festival international du film fantastique de Neuchâtel (June 30-July 8), for their respective films Ava, Hostile, and Le Serpent aux mille coupures.
- The Jerusalem International Film Festival (July 13-23) welcomed the presence of Clotilde Courau as a jury member, while Michel Hazanavicius and Louis Garrel presented Redoubtable at the event. Philippe Garrel was present for Lover For A Day, Claude Lanzmann for Napalm, and Serge Toubiana took part in a retrospective on the films of Jean-Pierre Melville.
- Lambert Wilson, Emmanuel Gras, and Nicolas Silhol presented, respectively, The Odyssey, Makala, and Corporate at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (June 30-July 8).
- Carine Tardieu traveled to the Odessa Film Festival in Ukraine to represent Just to Be Sure, which was screened as opening film. Also in attendance were Arnaud Des Pallières and Christelle Berthevas for Orphan, Sonia Kronlund for The Prince of Nothingwood, and Isabelle Huppert, who was a guest star at the closing ceremony.
- Karim Moussaoui presented Until the Birds Return at the Oran International Festival of Arabic Films, which won a Golden Wihr Award, the festival's grand prize, which was announced at the closing ceremony held July 31.
- Léa Mysius made the trip to Taiwan to accompany the presentation of Ava at the Taipei International Film Festival (June 29-July 15) as well as the film's commercial release.
- Gilles Marchand presented Into the Forest at the Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival (July 13-23) in South Korea.
Master Classes and Special Events (July 2017)
- Lidia Terki presented Paris la blanche at a special screening held at the Cinematheque in Tizi Ouzou on July 7, as well as at the Institut Français in Algiers on July 8.
- Luc Besson introduced audiences to Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets on July 17 at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles, as part of a retrospective of his films (July 14-19). He then traveled to Dubaï for a premiere of the film held July 20 at the Dubai Festival Center.
- Olivier Babinet presented Swagger as opening film at the Lumières Françaises Festival on July 20 at the Film Society of Minneapolis, as part of the Young French Cinema program, which is supported by Unifrance.
- Arnaud Viard presented Arnaud fait son 2e film at the launch of the Dia Nacional do Cinema Francês in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, held on July 14.
