An exceptional year for French cinema at the 74th Venice International Film Festival, which will open on August 30, with 4 French films in Competition, by Abdellatif Kechiche, Robert Guédiguian, Xavier Legrand, and Ziad Doueiri.
All sections combined, fifteen French and majority French films (not including heritage and minority French films), along with 5 short films (+ 7 VR works, which will be in a competitive selection for the first time in Venice), will be shown during the world's oldest film festival, which wraps on September 9.
