Biography

Discovered by a casting director, Romain Duris is offered the main part in Good Old Daze by Tony Gatlif and soon becomes one of the most popular French actor of his generation.
Between popular successes as Doberman (Jan Kounen – 1997), When The Cat’s Away or The Spanish Apartment (Cédric Klapisch – 1996 & 2002) and independent films like Already dead (Olivier Dahan – 1998), Gadjo Dilo (that wins him a nomination for the Best Promising Actor César Award) or Exiles (Tony Gatlif – 1999 & 2004), Romain Duris shows an undeniable versatile talent that permits him to be a gangster as convincingly as a student.
His public and critic success allows him to star in more ambitious movies such as Arsène Lupin by Jean-Paul Salomé or Jacques Audiard’s The Beat That My Heart Skipped.
