Six French films will be presented in the Official Selection this year, and more than 25 others will be spread across all the sections. A very fine edition for French cinema.
The 62nd edition of the San Sebastian International Film Festival (SSIFF) will take place September 19 through 27, 2014. 25 French films and majority co-productions will be presented, of which 6 are in the Official Selection, double the number compared with the 2013 edition.
The Éric Toledano-Olivier Nakache duo make a Closing Night return with their latest film Samba and its star Omar Sy. The Intouchables began its international career as the Closing Night film at this very event back in 2011.
Fifteen French artists will attend the festival to present their films, among whom François Ozon, Romain Duris, Anaïs Demoustier, Céline Sallette, Cédric Kahn, Laurent Cantet, and Mia Hansen-Løve, to mention just a few.
Unifrance, which will be organizing a cocktail in honor of the French delegation present at the festival, will also be annoncing the first edition of its French cinema weekend in Spain (October 16-19, 2014).
