The Annecy International Animated Film Festival offers a wide-ranging event that is attentive to the needs of today's animated film community. Festival goers have the chance to discover the most recent masterpieces of animated filmmaking presented in the official selection and to participate in the creative process at Work in Progress sessions, Making Ofs, and meetings with film crews. Filmmakers can also explore the latest trends and find partners for their projects at a festival that fosters dialogue, exchange, and building contacts.
Professionals from around the world gather together in an atmosphere that is both studious and convivial atmosphere, notably at sidebar events including the International Animated Film Market (MIFA), at which attendance by French professionals has increased by 40% in the past five years, and the Carrefour de la Création (Crossroads of Creativity) that highlights the search for new talent, as well as various conferences.
