Now in its second year, this award sponsored by TitraFilm, reelport, the AFCA, and Unifrance the honors efforts undertaken by short film companies to promote French films abroad.
Boasting 100 film sales, festival selections, and awards around the world in the past year, Vivement Lundi !, a production company based in Brittany, is the second company to be awarded this prize after last year's winner, Autour de Minuit.
Since it was founded in 1998, Vivement Lundi ! has produced over 100 documentaries, animation programs, and short fiction films. The animated films produced by the company have amassed over 200 awards, having been selected at numerous festivals, including prestigious international events such as Cannes, Seoul, Sundance, and Ottawa.
This impressive track record can be attributed in part to the recent success of films such as Storm Hits Jacket, The House of Dust, and Dimitri in Ubuyu. In previous years, the producers achieved acclaim with films that achieved strong international performances, such as Specky Four-Eyes and The Little Dragon.
A discussion with the UniFrance Export Prize winners Jean-François Le Corre and Mathieu Courtois will be organized during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival (June 13-18, 2016).
