Complete filmography
BiographyClovis Cornillac starts his career on stage at the age of 15 with famous directors such as Peter Brook.
He makes his debuts on screen in 1985as a young delinquent in Hors la loi by Robin Davis. He will frequently star as gangsters as in Les Années sandwiches by Pierre Boutron in 1988.
In 1998, his mother Myriam Boyer directs him in La Mère Christain.
In 1999, Karnaval by Thomas Vincent reveals Clovis Cornillac and wins him a nomination for the Cesar of Best Promising Actor. He then appears in many films such as Carnage by Delphine Gleize or Green Paradise by Emmanuel Bourdieu.
In 2004, Nickel and Dime wins Clovis Cornillac a Cesar for Best Supporting Actor for his interpretation of an endearing guttersnipe. From then on, he links up various genres of films such as Malabar Princess, a real commercial success by Gilles Legrand, the intimist Gilles’ Wife in competition in Venice and the saga A Very Long Engagement by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
In 2005, he wins another Cesar for Best Supporting Role for his irresistible interpretation of a soccer player fan of Beaudelaire in Mensonges et trahisons…, and the same year stars in The Brice Man by James Huth which is a great success.
The same year, along with Benoît Magimel, Clovis Cornillac is a fighter pilot in Sky Fighters, adaptation of the famous comic strip Tanguy & Laverdure.
