A screening of Dalida to open the French-Language Film Festival in Greece

The 18th French-Language Film Festival in Greece is taking place in Athens from March 23 to 29, 2017. It opened with a screening of Dalida held in the presence of the film's director and lead actress Sveva Alviti.

Music takes center stage at this year's festival, with, in addition to Lisa Azuelos's film Dalida opening the event, a thematic section also dedicated to composers of film music, along with a master class on composers from the 1960s to the 1980s, and a section devoted to rock music and tattooing as a practice and social phenomenon.

All up, audiences will have the chance to discover 43 films (including 34 French productions) during this week of French-language cinema.

As well as Lisa Azuelos and Sveva Alviti, the delegation representing French cinema will include Frédéric Mermoud (director of Moka), Raphaël Personnaz and Safy Nebbou (In the Forests of Siberia), Morgan Simon (A Taste of Ink), and Sadek (Tour de France).

All further information can be found on the festival's website, where you can watch the impressive festival trailer directed by Jacqueline Letzou.
