Some fifteen French artists are expected to take part in the 24th German French Film Week, to be held from November 21 to 27 in the German capital and a number of other German cities, in the presence of a very fine artistic delegation.
The German French Film Week is an initiative of the Institut Français - Allemagne and Unifrance. It is supported by numerous partners, including Yorck-Kinogruppe, ARTE, OFAJ (Office Franco-Allemand pour la Jeunesse), Dorint Hotels, Air France, the Sacem, Champagne Pommery, and BNP Paribas.
From November 21 to 27, the 2025 edition will invite German audiences to discover the best of French cinema, through a selection of films that will be showing in German cinemas over the coming months.
The program can be seen simultaneously in numerous German cities. Berlin, but also Aix-la-Chapelle, Ausburg, Brême, Cologne, Dessau, Düsseldorf, Erlangen, Francfort, Fribourg, Fürth, Halle, Hambourg, Kiel, Magdebourg, Munich, Rostoc, Sarrebruck, and Weimar.
The 42 films in the program, most of which have been screened at major international festivals, reflect the diversity and vitality of French-language film production, and the multiplicity of its genres and themes.
The Marching Band, in the presence of composer Michel Petrossian, will open the event in Berlin. The film will be released in Germany on December 26, distributed by Neue Visionen Filmverleih. Louise Courvoisier's Holy Cow will be the closing film.
A focus on Hafsia Herzi has also been organized at the Kino Arsenal from November 22 to 27, with the screening of seven feature films.
Also expected in the capital (subject to change): Jacques Audiard, Karla Sofía Gascón, Matthieu Delaporte, Adèle Simphal, Guillaume Maidatchevsky, Anne Fontaine, Raphaël Personnaz, Mareike Engelhardt, Megan Northam, Lubna Azabal, Raphaële Moussafir, Agathe Bonitzer, Adam Bonitzer, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Fransix Tenda Lomba, Christophe Rolin, and Nadège Bibo-Tansia.
Participants of the Franco-German Film Meetings, which closes on the evening of November 21 after two days of plenary sessions and exchanges in the German capital, will all be invited to attend the festival opening.
