Biography
Claire Burger and Marie Amachoukeli begin studying at La Femis following an experience with images as a journalist, for the former, and a degree in history for the latter. At the end of their studies, they direct the film Forbach, (Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival, and second prize from the Cinéfondation at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival), followed by It's Free for Girls (César for Best Short in 2010, and selection of the 2009 International Critics' Week). Halfway between fiction and documentary, these two films draw their inspiration from the daily lives of their actors, non-professionals, who play in them their own roles. In the same vein, they are currently writing their first feature film.
