The 57th Visions du Réel, a leading international documentary film festival, will take place from April 17 to 26 in Nyon, Switzerland. Among the 164 selected films, 30 French productions and co-productions will be featured.
Unifrance will support this major event, notably through its partnership with La Scam, which will enable the organization to provide travel grants to selected French filmmakers.
The French Doc Drinks, co-sponsored by Eurodoc, the French Embassy in Switzerland and Unifrance, will take place on 20 April at 8 pm.
As part of the festival’s Industry section, Unifrance, TITRAFILM, and Visions du Réel will also present the Unifrance Doc Award to a promising French documentary project in development, presented at the VdR-Pitching and VdR-Work in Progress. The winning film will receive subtitling support provided by TitraFilm, while its (French) production company will receive a one-year Unifrance membership in the feature film producers’ department. The award will be presented during a ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The members of Unifrance Doc Award jury are:
- Gabrielle Brady, screenwriter and director (Australia, United Kingdom, Germany)
- Dominic Davis, head of the Sundance Documentary Fund, Sundance Institute (United States)
- Gaia Furrer, artistic director, Giornate degli Autori (Italy)
