Philippe Lioret, a former sound engineer, directed his first feature in 1994. The film, "Lost in Transit", featured brilliant performances from Jean Rochefort, Marisa Paredes and Ticky Holgado. He then directed a number of advertising films before writing and directing his second feature, "Proper Dress Required". He is now (2000) a new film : "Mademoiselle".
