As always, French talents are on the move around the globe! UniFrance's bi-monthly bulletin keeps you up to date on trips made by French actors and directors to accompany their films around the world (for commercial releases, retrospectives, master classes, festivals, preview screenings, and more).
FESTIVALS
- The Francophone Film Festival in Greece (March 23-29) welcomed Lisa Azuelos and Sveva Alviti (photo), as well as Frédéric Mermoud, Safy Nebbou, Raphaël Personnaz, Sadek, and Morgan Simon as guests at the event. Julie Gavras was jury president.
- Marianne Denicourt, François Desagnat, Lionel Guedj, Henry Padovani, Jacques Perrin, Brigitte Sy, Bertrand Tavernier, Philippe Torreton, Thomas Vincent, Stéphanie Gillard, and Vincent Glenn traveled to the USA to take part in the Richmond French Film Festival (March 27-April 2).
- The Focus on French Cinema festival held in Greenwich (March 27-April 2) invited guests including Aïssa Maïga, Dominique Besnehard, Claude Lelouch, Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, and Olivier Babinet.
- Antonin Peretjatko, Angelin Preljocaj, Valérie Müller, Damien Manivel, Lola Doillon, and Claire Simon were at Febiofest (March 23-31), one of the Czech Republic's most important film festivals.
- Momoko Seto made the trip to Saguenay, Quebec, where she gave a master class on March 18 as part of the 21st REGARD sur le court-métrage au Saguenay short film festival.
COMMERCIAL RELEASES
- Olivier Assayas was in London from March 14 to 16 for the launch of Personal Shopper.
- Kev Adams traveled to Brussels on March 24 for the preview screening of Gangsterdam, along with Manon Azem and Romain Levy.
- Nicolas Silhol went to Geneva on March 22 for the preview screening of Corporate.
- Pascal Elbé made the trip to Quebec From March 18 to 23 to promote Thank You for Calling.
- Ramzy Bedia and Olivier Peyon were in Geneva from March 26 to 27 for the release of Life Beyond Me.
- Philippe Lioret accompanied the release of A Kid in Madrid, from 29 to 31 March.
