This year’s Toronto International Film Festival will be held from September 9 through 18.
46 French productions will be showcased at the festival, including 31 Canadian or American previews.
“Clean” by Olivier Assayas and “Arsène Lupin” by Jean-Paul Salomé will be presented at a gala evening, with the North American preview screenings of “5x2” by François Ozon and “Les Choristes” by Christophe Barratier featuring in the Special Presentations Section.
More than thirty French directors and actors are expected to attend this year’s Toronto festival, bearing witness to the TIFF’s growing status in the international film festival calendar: Mathieu Amalric (“Rois et Reine”), Chantal Akerman (“Demain on déménage”), Olivier Assayas and Maggie Cheung (“Clean”), Yvan Attal and Emmanuelle Seigner (“Ils se marièrent et eurent beaucoup d’enfants”), Christophe Barratier (“Les Choristes”), Catherine Breillat and Amira Casar (“Anatomie de l’enfer”), Robin Campillo (“Les revenants”), Raymond Depardon (“10ème Chambre, Instants d’audience”), Claire Denis and Grégoire Colin (“L’Intrus”), Ziad Doueiri and Vahina Giocante (“Lila dit ça”), Eleonore Faucher (“Brodeuses”), Lucile Hadzihalilovic (“Innocence”), Christophe Honoré and Isabelle Huppert (“Ma mère”), Isild Le Besco (“A tout de suite”), Philippe Lioret (“L’Equipier”), Safy Nebbou (“Le cou de la girafe”), François Ozon (“5x2”), Ismaël Ferroukhi (“Le Grand voyage”), Jacques Richard (“Le Fantôme d’Henri Langlois”), Françoise Romand (“Thème Je”), Jean-Paul Salomé and Kristin Scott-Thomas (“Arsène Lupin”), Agnès Varda (“Cinevardaphoto”).
As is the case each year, Unifrance will be putting in a strong presence at Toronto this year, alongside French film crews, artists, producers and exporters.
