Unifrance accompanied French artists attending the following 9 film festivals: the 2009 Rendez-Vous With French Cinema Today in New York, the 2009 Sofia Festival Film, the 2009 French Film Festival in Japan, the 2009 Hong Kong International Film Festival, the 2009 New York - New Directors New Films Festival, the 2009 Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI), the 2009 Richmond French Film Festival, and the 2009 Alliance Française French Film Festival.

Unifrance provided support for the presence of 3 French artists and the screening of 38 films at the following 4 film festivals: the 2009 Tampere Film Festival, the 2009 Rome Independent Film Festival (RIFF), the 2009 Cleveland International Film Festival, and the 2009 Larissa Mediterranean Festival of New Filmmakers.
Funding support for commercial release
Unifrance supported the release of 7 films in international territories by covering travel expenses for 8 French artists: Maïwenn for the release of Bal des actrices in Quebec Laurent Cantet for the release of Entre les murs (The Class) in Brazil and Argentina; Ludivine Sagnier for the release of La Fille coupée en deux (The Girl Cut in Two) in the UK; Tomer Sisley and Jérôme Salle for the release of Largo Winch in Russia and Hungary; Amira Casar and Bulle Ogier for the release of Nuit de chien (This Night, also known as Tonight) in Germany; and Philippe Lioret for the release of Welcome in Switzerland.
