The 3rd French Film Season has attracted full houses at the Zita Cinema in Stockholm and the Grand Teatret in Copenhagen. The event kicked off February 8 and will continue until May 2, 2005.
Organized by the French Embassy in Sweden, in collaboration with the Zita Cinema in Stockholm, the French Institute and the Grand Teatret in Copenhagen, and with support from Unifrance, this year's French Film Season is presenting the following films:
"Right Now" by Benoît Jacquot, "Clean" by Olivier Assayas, "Since Otar Left" by Julie Bertucelli, "Divine Intervention" by Elia Suleiman, "Le Pont des Arts" by Eugène Green, "Mademoiselle" by Philippe Lioret, "Mensonges et trahisons et plus si affinité..." by Laurent Tirard, "Mondovino" by Jonathan Nossiter, "5x2" by François Ozon, "My Father is an Engineer" by Robert Guédiguian, "Quand la mer monte…" by Gilles Porte and Yolande Moreau, "A Real Man" by Jean-Marie and Arnaud Larrieu and "Venus & Fleur" by Emmanuel Mouret.
This event gives Swedish and Danish spectators the chance to discover a selection of French films, and Scandinavian distributors the opportunity to assess the audience impact of these films. This has been the case for "Quand la mer monte..." by Gilles Porte and Yolande Moreau, for which Folkets Bio has just acquired the rights for Sweden.
