The French Film Varilux Panorama in Brazil will take place from June 7 through 20, 2018. During this event, a delegation made up of French actors and filmmakers will present twenty films in sixty Brazilian cities.
The Festival Varilux de Cinema Francês, which takes place each year in June in Brazil, presents premiere screenings of twenty features, including a classic (this year: Z by Costa Gavras), as well as a special homage to an invited French actor or director. This year, for the first time, a selection of shorts will also be shown.
The festival travels throughout the country, even to Manaus, in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. More than 60 Brazilian cities will share the program in 2018. In 2017, 180,000 spectators attended the event.
The artistic delegation will travel to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to participate in numerous discussions with the public, give interviews, master-classes, and attend meetings with Brazilian film industry professionals.
